Intentional Camera Movement "I.C.M."


To achieve this desired effect I used two photos, one photo in focus and the other captured using a technique known as Intentional camera movement and then blending the two in Photoshop.







Step 1. Get your shot composed and exposed to your liking and take your shot. It will help if you are using a tripod for both photos








Step 2. Start with your camera pointed down and as you click the shutter button, flick your camera up quickly.










This will give you the blurred effect. It takes some practice but can be learned fairly quickly. After you have both the in focus photo and the blurred photo, you can take them home and blend them in Photoshop. I will be doing a video of my blending technique in the near future.
